FAQ

• Who can submit? 
  Anyone ages 12 and up. You do not have to live in Mt. Prospect to submit.
   

• How do I submit my design?
  Right here on the submission form. Designs must be submitted in JPG, PNG, PDF or Ai format. Designs are limited to 6 colors. 
   

• When is the submission deadline?
  June 1st, 2023
   

• When will the winner be announced?
  You will be notified by the end of June. The announcement event will be held at the Lions Park Bandshell on Thursday, June 29th before the concert in the park. Winner and runners up must be present for the community announcement celebration event. More details on this to be announced soon.
   

• Do I win anything?
  There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner chosen. Prize value is yet to be determined.  As of right now, only the 1st place winner's design will be placed on the shirts. Thank you to the Mt. Prospect Park District for helping sponsor this contest. 
   

• What is my design required to include?
  You must include the following somewhere in your design:

  • 5th anniversary 

  • 2023 

  • Mt. Prospect 

  • 56 Music Fix (pronounced five six, not fifty-six)

  • Other than those requirements, the design concept is up to your creative vision. The design can be hand drawn, a graphic or an image you created or painted, as long as it is deliverable in the required format.

• Please refrain from including our logo in your design as we will be placing it on the the t-shirt in an alternate location. 
   

• Does the design I submit belong to me/Do I get any recognition for my work?
  Yes and No. Your name will be announced and promoted as either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place winner. You may sign your name to the design in a conspicuous area but it should not be the focus of the design.
  Once you have submitted your design, the creative concept belongs to the 56 Music Fix committee. You may not reproduce, sell, or copyright your design without written consent from 56 Music Fix, LLC.  
  You may however, use your design in your portfolio, showcase it at art shows or events you're involved in, as well as have bragging rights and be part of the 56 Music Fix legacy. 
  56 Music Fix, LLC has the right to reproduce your design for marketing, merchandise sales, social media, promotions and in any way we see fit to promote the 56 Music Fix. 
   

• Can I submit a design as a group?
  Yes, you may join forces with others and submit one design if you wish. The prize money will be split amongst the group. 
   

• What are you looking for in a design?
  We're looking for your creative vision on what the 56 Music Fix means to you, the community, music lovers etc. What spirit does the weeknd festival capture, what makes the fix weekend so special for Mt. Prospect, what emotions do you feel when attending the 56 Music Fix. We're looking for unique, creative and inspiring designs that capture the spirit and meaning of the 56 Music Fix.
